Car Automation – A new tech introduced!!

 

Known to all, India has a huge population, so does the cars and other vehicles in count. India has a market that is loved by car manufacturers around the globe. Unfortunately, India also has maintained a grave third rank in road accidents and deaths. Thus, Indian Technological experts have turned to Car automation or Self driving vehicle technology for the relief they seek.

The first car automation was initiated by GM's Suite and was taken to a next- gen model by Mercedes with the launch of the distronic*, first radar assisted autonomous cruise control on- Mercedes- Benz- S- Class(W220) and CL- Class in 1999.

*Distronic system detects the proximity of other cars ahead and always maintains a safe distance by altering the speed.

 

Many thinks, IoT and automation technology shall be the answer to the huge count of accidents on Indian roads.

But, how is it working in India?

According to the NASSCOM reports – ‘The market of IoT (Internet of Things) is projected to rise to 15 billion USD.’ This justifies the fact that there is huge potential of driverless, automated vehicles in India.

        

India has an evident concern for Information Technology as well as Analytical skills, i.e. basic to make car automation a successful venture. 

For its growth in India many sectors shall come together and produce seamless results for the same. From connectivity to cloud services all the sectors might be a good hand and a profit bearer in the same as the efficiency depends on each and every sector involved for the collection, collation, interpretation, and transmission of data in real time for tracking the car and availing the needed services. Many start-ups and companies have invested for the same.

1)    More Fuel-Efficient Rides:- Tesla is at the forefront of the fuel-efficiency movement, releasing a slew of electric and hybrid vehicles that can take you for hundreds of miles with a single charge. In 2016, more than 2 million electric vehicles were sold worldwide, and this figure is expected to rise in the near future as more automotive manufacturers implement electric vehicle technology to their fold. 

 2) Predictive Vehicle Technology:-Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have an important role in the future of the automotive industry as predictive capabilities are becoming more prevalent in cars, personalizing the driving experience.

3) Self-Driving Technology:- Much has been made of autonomous driving technology, and while some companies have been testing their self-driving functionalities on open roads, we’re still quite a ways away from widely adopting these cars. A number of cars already have semi-autonomous capabilities in the form of driver-assisted technologies.

There are so many upcoming technologies, which will make our experience more comfortable and easier.
